The London Jazz Festival, sponsored by EFG International, returns to the capital this Friday, bringing a number of internationally renowned musicians to the city for a range of one off events over ten days.

We have picked six of the hottest events happening along the East London Line. With two of them having free admission, you have no excuse but to treat yourself to some of the world’s best jazz.

Founded by Pat Thomas (piano/electronics) and Orphy Robinson (vibes) and featuring guest American saxophonist Marco Eneidi, Black Top is dedicated to exploring the intersection of live improv and the technology of dub, reggae and other worldly noises.
