Critically-acclaimed artists including FKA twigs, Run The Jewels and Hudson Mohawke have joined the lineup for the Field Day festival in Victoria Park.

The festival, which takes place on June 6 and 7, is to be headlined by Canadian electronic musician Caribou and reunited Oxford “shoegazing” legends Ride. The line-up will also include Radiohead drummer Philip Selway and Patti Smith, who will be performing her classic album Horses.

The festival, which has a capacity of 30,000, has expanded steadily since its inception in 2007. Last year’s event, headlined by Pixies, was met with critical acclaim, with the Guardian describing it as an event “that leaves you buzzing with the thrill of the new”. This is likely to continue this year with many of last year’s most acclaimed artists taking to the stage in Victoria Park.

FKA twigs’ booking represents a continuation of a hugely successful 12 months for the performer, who last week received two Brit award nominations for British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist.

Her debut album, LP1, was amongst the bookmakers’ favourites for the Mercury prize, though she ultimately missed out to Scottish hip-hop collective Young Fathers.

It was a similarly successful 2014 for Run The Jewels, the hip-hop duo of producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike. Their second album, Run The Jewels 2, was ranked album of the year by publications including Pitchfork and Stereogum.

Weekend tickets are £78 and are available here.
